That being said, one of these founders has a skeleton in his closet that mars the image. A disturbing article from Pilipino Star Ngayon names Juan Lim as faking his doctorate degree. The article goes as follows:
Batay sa reklamo ng isang dating academic consultant ng Philippine School of Business Administration (PSBA), ang panloloko at pamemeke ng dokumento ni Mr. Juan D. Lim ay nakumpirma nang magpalabas ng certification ang Commission on Higher Education (CHED) at ang University of Santo Tomas na wala itong degree sa Doctor of Philosopy. Gayunman, naka-enroll umano ito sa UST ng doctoral program noong taong 1959-60 at 1960-61.Normally, the crime, if true, would be falsification of documents, as stated in Chapter Two, Section 1, Article 177 of the Revised Penal Code.
"Chapter Two
Sec. One. — Usurpation of authority, rank, title, and improper use of names, uniforms and insignia.
Art. 177. Usurpation of authority or official functions. — Any person who shall knowingly and falsely represent himself to be an officer, agent or representative of any department or agency of the Philippine Government or of any foreign government, or who, under pretense of official position, shall perform any act pertaining to any person in authority or public officer of the Philippine Government or any foreign government, or any agency thereof, without being lawfully entitled to do so, shall suffer the penalty of prision correccional in its minimum and medium periods."However, we have it on good authority that the statute of limitations has expired for this violation. The research of Ret. Dean Sotero Lopez proved to be of no value since 2006, when both CHED and University of Sto. Tomas showed no records of Juan Lim ever finishing his doctorate at UST. He was enrolled, but never finished the requirements for the doctoral degree.
But working with the same information, falsified documents also fall under another crime with no statute of limitations -- estafa. In Chapter 6, Article 315, 2(a), estafa also occurs
"2. By means of any of the following false pretenses or fraudulent acts executed prior to or simultaneously with the commission of the fraud:This becomes important when we take a look at the Corporate Code, which all corporations such as PSBA Inc. - QC are obliged to follow. In Title III, Article 27 of the Corporate Code, it states
(a) By using fictitious name, or falsely pretending to possess power, influence, qualifications, property, credit, agency, business or imaginary transactions, or by means of other similar deceits."
"Sec. 27. Disqualification of directors, trustees or officers. - No person convicted by final judgment of an offense punishable by imprisonment for a period exceeding six (6) years, or a violation of this Code committed within five (5) years prior to the date of his election or appointment, shall qualify as a director, trustee or officer of any corporation."
The laws speak for themselves, and are just waiting to be applied. As the saying goes, all that is needed for evil to succeed is for all good men to do nothing.

From a neutral point of view, it may seem that we are singling out Juan Lim unnecessarily. However, he has done nothing but coerce, exclude and manipulate the Board members, which would have been fine if the original vision of educating the youth were still true. Here are some highlights for you to judge yourself.
In 2006, Antonio Magtalas claimed a seat in the Board, only to be told by Juan Lim that Magtalas was not a member. This led to the 2006 smear campaign against Juan Lim along with PSBAQC, with the hand of Antonio Magtalas behind the efforts.
Afterwards, with the sickness and eventual death of then Chairman Florencio I. Lim in 2011, Juan Lim as secretary of the Board of Directors, repeatedly blocked attempts of the heirs to claim their inheritance, namely, shares of the school and seats on the Board. If the children of Florencio Lim were given their rightful shares, the balance of power in the Board would have shifted, leaving less than crumbs to Juan Lim. As it stands, the heirs have received nothing.
In the summer of this year, Juan Lim magically produced a signed waiver from all Board members, even from the now deceased Florencio I. Lim, allowing Antonio Magtalas ownership of a still unidentified stock certificate, and a seat on the concocted Board, with Juan Lim retaining a controlling interest. The case is pending in court, with Atty. Benjamin Paulino simply requesting these two documents, the waiver and the stock certificate, as proof of the validity of the Board. To date, the other party has not complied with the request.
And the thing is, we are not even talking about all the other cases filed against Juan Lim. If estafa is the surest way to get the bad apple out of the Board, so be it. Any way would be fine.
When Juan Lim and henchmen tried to forcibly enter the PSBA QC campus in July, the visit created a potentially dangerous situation between his security and campus security. It was diffused only when a student who could not enter the campus because of the rising tension shouted to Juan Lim and company,
"Nakakagulo na kayo ng pag-aaral namin!"
or words to the same effect -- after which the party of Juan Lim retreated quietly, as if struck with the truth.
Still, Juan Lim and the made-up Board have now tried to close the school, not having learned the lesson then. Never mind the kind of man that fakes a doctoral degree just so he can add three more letters after his name. In trying to close the school for whatever reason, he has also forfeited the honor and respect that came with the founding of a school and the education of the youth.
Get Juan Lim out of the Board.
